La Vie en Rose

So prettyyy horrid chem exam today, but at least I'm over with the 2 bane-of-my-existences for the rest of my life - chem & math :D

Jenn and I planned to see La Vie en Rose (about Edith Piaf) at the Ridge after the exam, but it was soooo long that we were 15 min late even with catching a bus. Anyway, it was ok because Edith was still like 5 when we got there.

K so background: pretty much fell in love w/ her music in grade 8 and then went on to buy like a bunch of cds, took out her bio from the library, etceterrraaa.... So I was VERY psyched when Mme LeMay told us about the movie.

I won't spoil it for anyone because I think you should all go see it but it was seriously one of the best movies I've seen in a long, long time. It was really accurate as far as I could tell, like a lot of details were in there (you kinda have to know some of the story before you see the movie to "get" it but it works without knowing, too) It didn't apologize for all the dark stuff in her life; it was so honest and poignant. Gah, so good! I'll admit I was pretty teary here and there, and the ending is so well...k I'm starting to babble now.

It's worth your eight bucks!
