thanksgiving
we spent yesterday at mom & dad's. got there around 1030; ate dinner at 1. shae fell asleep just before 1 and slept until 3. basically, she slept thru her 1st thanksgiving. we hung out until around 6 - eating and visiting.
jordan's service is this morning at 11 - in spring. we have to be at mom & dad's at 930 - to drop off bud and follow them to the cemetary. after the service, we're heading to longview to spend the night. lori's family is meeting up in longview tomorrow for lunch. this is our first roadtrip with shae -- and it feels like we're moving. thankfully, lori's aunt has a crib for her so we don't have to pack our travel crib; but, here's a sample of her list: formula, juice, baby water, bottles, bottle cleaner, medicine, baby towel & washcloth, baby soap, baby lotion, crib wedge, monitor, PJs, extra PJs in case she pukes all over herself, clothes, clothes and extra clothes, burp rags and extra burp rags, diapers, wipes, jacket, hat, mittens (in case it's cold there), bouncy seat, blankets, etc., etc.
i got up with shae at 5 -- decided to stay up -- to fold laundry, load the dishwasher, wash bottles, shower & dress before she eats again at 8. it works out.. lori will be doing the driving today which means i'll be doing the napping :) we've agreed on one egg nog shake (either, on the way today or on the way home tomorrow). we're both foaming at the mouth for egg nog.. if we only stop once for a shake, it will be a miracle.
