(no subject)
after three weeks of hell i think my karma is looking up, *knock on wood*.
not having all of the responsibilities of being an RA is really nice. i can come and go as i please on campus, i dont have people telling me when i can and can't go home or work, or see my friends. i don't have to worry about making lame alcohol busts because a couple people had a beer in their room. i dont have to wander around the building at 8, 10 and 12 to see if people are doing what they shouldn't be doing, and i dont have to deal with maintenance/custodial knocking on my door telling me that my floor is a mess... obviously. i talked to my boys the other night though, and apparently there's another hole in the wall, and the floor was completely trashed. i just laughed, and told him, "it's not my problem anymore, go talk to greg" :)
the one thing that really ticks me off though is when i went out Thursday night (first time i've ever "partied") i saw not one, not two, but THREE RA's there, and i know they all had residents there. i'm not going to be a nark and tattle, but seriously... i lost my job for allegedly drinking with my residents, and here are these other RA's out, partying it up with theirs. not only drinking either, there was one RA who was smoking weed with the boys. honestly... and i know for a fact that a certain RA allows residents to drink in his room with him, because my residents, or ex-residents rather, have drank in there with him.
school is going pretty good i guess. classes are tedious, the same stuff, over and over again, in every class. boring professors lecturing for an hour or so, and then tests on things i dont care about... like geography, who needs geography? honestly! my second speech for Effective Oral Communication is due Thursday... i started it last night, i'm not really into my topic, but it's an easy thing to have a visual aid for so i'm over it. my teacher classes are alright, i've got research and stuff to do for them, but it'll all get done as always. :P
Delta Gamma is amazing... big/lil is tomorrow and i couldn't be more excited. i still have stuff to do to get ready for it, but i'll do that tonight, and then finish everything tomorrow. :) i just hope my lil is as excited as i am.
Work is alright, last night was a lot of fun. i <3 Dave Gab and Jill and Tom cracks me up with his drunken ramblings. i open wednesday with John, so that'll be fun as always, i owe him lunch though, so i have to remember to have some cash on me.
this weekend was awesome. Thursday night i went out with my boys, we went to the boys house from last year, it was a lot of fun and i saw a TON of people. It was really cold and wet though because of the rain, but Mickey is my hero and gave me his jacket for the walk back. I spent the night in the Gooch on the futon in 242. woke up friday morning, finished my history paper and went with Joey to turn in our papers. then went to BP and he got cigs and bought me a cup of coffee, it was delicious! :) Took him back to the Gooch, picked up Mike and came back to Willoughby. Friday night went to dinner with Nick and Dre then went to the North South game where we met up with Kevin. It was so good to see everyone, and chat, and climb up in the bleachers and laugh at everyone. :) went to Dre's afterward and hung out, see her facebook for pictures of that adventure lol. took Nick home and then went home and went to bed. slept forever, did some homework saturday, a lot of big/lil stuff, etc. Went and picked Dre up and we went to Nick's to watch the Tribe game. it was so much fun. i LOVE his family... who wants beer? we want beer! haha! took dre home, went home myself, and slept forever again. i didn't get up til like 1 on sunday. did some more homework, watched TV, did more big/lil stuff then came back to akron. was late for DG meeting, but oh well.
i guess that's really about it, other than i might have a new interested in the boy department... but like Dre says, "there's potential" lol. see my icon :)
