Yeah...bout that

So yesterday I get told that my sister's father-in-law has two blocked arteries.  They were going to do a bypass, but then did something else and he is supposed to come home today.  This doesn't seem right to me, but I am not a doctor.

Then I hear that my younger brother has arthritis in his knee, among other problems.  Rather than do surgery his ( Read more... )

What does your mechanic say is the issue with your van? That's really bizarre that it would work only for him.

Believe me being trapped at work for 11 hours a day, and again at home every single Wednesday night because he has the car and no one wants to come over has me more than displeased.

Another fine example is that today I have no lunch. I am sick of sandwiches, and today is the ONE STUPID DAY that no one in the department is going out for lunch. No car = no lunch.

My meals for today will be...a single bagel toasted up at home this morning and water.

Yeah, I am NOT amused one bit.

And I know all to well what it feels like to be trapped, without a car or public transportation.

I can no longer drive, and it makes me "crazy mad" sometimes. I'm tired of being at the mercy of others if I wish to go anywhere, and for me it's been over 7 years now since the deterioration progressed to this point. At least I still have my vision, that is a good thing, I suppose.

I don't mean to be so negative, but I can understand how rough it is.

He can't duplicate it, so there's nothing he can do about it. It happened right before I brought it to him too. It wouldn't start, I called AAA, the guy shows up and it started.

Oh no... it's Murphy's Law in practical application. The car works for the mechanic, but not when you get it home.

It's the nature of the beast.
