audit senior = multi-tasker
I was just thinking over, after I’ve somewhat got thru my first hurdle this year at work.. although I still need to do follow-ups..
I haf randomly listed down the roles we play:
#1 auditor
#2 secretary (some egs - when the boss needs to meet the client or vice versa, you’re the person to arrange and liaise wif everyone else that’s gg to be in that meeting / when you need to conduct reviews as part of an audit, calling up the parties involved to be down at their place)
#3 photocopier / scanner / printer (3-in-1)
#4 reporter (constantly need to update the boss on work status & issues that surface)
#5 binder
#6 messenger (relaying messages to affected parties coz you’re always the middle-person)
#7 filing clerk
#8 teacher (to guide your juniors)
#9 baby-sitter (watch over your juniors)
#10 technical advisor (give the clients a good run for their money’s worth when they haf queries on accounting standards, blah blah blah)
Life as an auditor (audit senior to be precise) isn’t like a bed of roses.. who doesn’t already know that? However, I just thot of some funny things that I felt like blogging down.. lame but ah well.. I nv really take things v seriously.. and I enjoy laughing at myself.. *grins*
