Some Multi-Fandom Fic Recs
As usual, I bounced around reading in all sorts of fandoms over the past few months, and here are a handful of favorites! We've got some of my fav fics from the recently concluded 
harrydracobang, several fics from
writcraft because I read and commented on 40 of their fics I'd not yet read for their birthday a few weeks back, and then a bunch of other random fics! I've decided to attempt to reinstate my ~TBR backlog reading challenge~ in which I shoot to read at least one Drarry and one non-HP fic a week from my "Marked for Later" list on AO3. The Drarry fics might get paused as I'll likely sub in newer postings from
hd_fan_fair as that starts posting soon, as well as all the fics I'll be reading/proofing for
hd_erised, but my TBR list is getting out of control so it's time to start hacking away at it. :D

Oh man, I had too much fun reading this fic!! I really enjoyed the characterizations and various relationships here, and the way the author approached the ideas of forgiveness and redemption were so thoughtful and nuanced and interesting. The trio friendship gave me a lot of happy feels, and I just generally really loved the characters here and the build of the relationship between Harry and Draco. The smut was super hot, and the ending was truly lovely. Plus, some seriously drool-worthy descriptions of food!

How hard could the next few months be?
A fic about challenging assumptions, discovering self-worth, the silver lining in failing to meet expectations, and finding friendship, love, and purpose in a small Alaskan town that’s steeped in magic.
This was so, so good! The writing here was so lush and evocative and the magical Alaskan town where this fic takes place was really vividly portrayed. Draco's voice was wonderful and I really enjoyed the tension between him and Harry at first that slowly builds into more. Lovely and feelsy and sexy and wonderful! And with some beautiful illustrations!

I do adore a good Grimmauld Place fic, as well as fics that take place soon after the war and really delve into what that might be like mentally for Harry, and I really loved how that all unfolded here. Grimmauld ending up as this big shared house with all of Harry's friends made my heart so full, and the relationships and characterizations were all so wonderful! The relationship development played out really authentically, and both of their headspaces felt so believable to me. Plus I am ALWAYS here for Demi Harry, so that made my heart very happy! This whole thing was so lovely and sexy and charming and just a really wonderful read!

W O W what a ride! As an ardent lover of both sci-fi and fantasy I was super curious to see where this mashup would go and I was not disappointed! The whole concept here was just fascinating and I really loved how it all still felt quite authentic to the HP-verse even though the majority of the fic takes place literally on another world. The enemies to lovers aspect was also really well done, and in general the whole dynamic between Harry and Draco was really interesting. A super unique read with some fun art and an ending that I found quite satisfying.

Really engaging fic with a great Sam and Dean characterization that takes place in early season two. I loved Sam's headspace here in particular and their relationship was wonderful, but do be warned that the fic ends on quite an open/angsty note in regards to the romantic/sexual aspect of Sam and Dean's relationship.

Really fascinating fantasy AU with artist Jared who grew up quite privileged and a wary shopkeeper Jensen whose got a past. This world was super interesting, if occasionally a bit confusing, and I especially adored Jared's characterization here. There's a scene at the end that plays around with power dynamics, with Jared essentially fully giving up all control to Jensen--it's clear everything that happens is consensual but also clear that even if it wasn't there's not much Jared could do about it, so tread lightly if that's a potential issue for you!
