I'm shifting my fandom-free day to tomorrow so I'm posting this one a day earlier than usual.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Caine Mutiny by Herman Wouk
The first 2/3 was pretty slow and meh, but the last 1/3 really picked up and I ended up quite enjoying overall.
Didn't See That Coming: Putting Life Back Together When Your World Falls Apart by Rachel Hollis
Meh. I read/enjoyed her first two books but IDK if it's the subject of this one or the fact that I'm slightly less enamored with her than I used to be, but this fell flat.
Ivy Grove Series by Jaclyn Osborn
Supernatural MM romance series which I enjoyed, though there were some things that bothered me enough that I didn't *love* it.
Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas
This is set in the The Hate U Give universe and is just as brilliant as her previous two books!

Read the first book yesterday and quite enjoyed, and I'm excited to read the sequel.
Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
Almost finished with this one!! So far I'm enjoying it, but not quite as much as I expected...
Frankie and Johnny Series by Xio Axelrod
I read the first book in this series last week as part of a buddy read and I've got the sequel on deck to read this week!

Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi
I've had this on hold since it came out and it just came in! I adored this author's debut novel, Homegoing, and I'm really looking forward to reading this one!
Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson
Next non-fiction read! Loved the last book I read by this author, and I've heard equally great things about this one!
I Think We Missed Our Turn by L.A. Witt
MM romance short story for some quick fun.
The Last Sun by K.D. Edwards
My next buddy read! Supposed to be a queer fantasy which I am always here for, and the reviews seem really positive.
