What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?
One Person, No Vote: How Voter Suppression Is Destroying Our Democracy by Carol Anderson
Really good and a bit devastating, but very dense.

Witches, Sluts, Feminists: Conjuring the Sex Positive by Kristen J. Sollee
Ehh. Not a book I would have picked up on my own, but my sister got it for me. Relatively quick read, but wasn't quite for me.

White Teeth by Zadie Smith
Still mulling this one over. Fabulous writing, but quite a long book in which nothing particularly seems to happen...

Notable Fanfic Reads:
-have a cigar by
deadlybride (Supernatural, Wincest)
-Blow-By-Blow by ???  (Harry Potter, Drarry)

What are you currently reading?
Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void by Mary Roach
Current non-fiction read! I think this might be my last Mary Roach book and I'll have read her whole catalogue!

Peace Talks (Dresden files #16) by Jim Butcher
Current audiobook listen. I'm getting close to finishing, probably this week, and then I have to wait for the next book. *cried forever*

Harrison Campus Series by Anyta Sunday and Andy Gallo
Book 1 was okay, book 2 was better, so I'm hoping book 3 improves again!

What do you think you’ll read next?
Pieces of You (Missing Pieces, #1) by N.R. Walker
This author can be a bit hit or miss for me (with more hits than misses), and I'm honestly really not keen on memory loss as a trope, so not sure how this will go... But the final book in this series just came out so I should probably read book one...

House Made of Dawn by N. Scott Momaday
Next Pulitzer Prize Winner read!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JKR
Meeting virtually this weekend with my friends to chat about this book, so I'll be rereading in the next few days.

Fanfic:
-Liar by
jad (Harry Potter, Drarry)
-A Change of Heart by
Ladyoftarth (ASOIAF, Brienne/Jaime)
-Just Tell Me When It's All Right by Anonymous (Harry Potter, Drarry) This entry was originally posted here on Dreamwidth. Please comment there using OpenID
