Really fascinating fantasy AU with artist Jared who grew up quite privileged and a wary shopkeeper Jensen whose got a past. This world was super interesting, if occasionally a bit confusing, and I especially adored Jared's characterization here. There's a scene at the end that plays around with power dynamics, with Jared essentially fully giving up all control to Jensen--it's clear everything that happens is consensual but also clear that even if it wasn't there's not much Jared could do about it, so tread lightly if that's a potential issue for you!

This world was super interesting, if occasionally a bit confusing, and I especially adored Jared's characterization here. There's a scene at the end that plays around with power dynamics, with Jared essentially fully giving up all control to Jensen--it's clear everything that happens is consensual but also clear that even if it wasn't there's not much Jared could do about it, so tread lightly if that's a potential issue for you!
