H/D Fan Fair 2019 Fic Recs!
Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate! If you're looking for some Harry/Draco fic to tide you over on this long weekend before

hd_fan_fair 2019 fest masterlist? I participated in the fest this year and though I didn’t read everything, I’d say I made it through a majority of the submissions, and there were a lot of great entries! Of course, I definitely had my personal favorites, and I really enjoyed seeing the different takes on careers combined with the secondary themes! Obviously, I highly recommend all of the below fics, but there were also a ton of other wonderful fics in the fest that I enjoyed, and I definitely recommend checking out the entire masterlist, as there really was something for everyone. :D

This story was so lovely! The writing was gorgeous, and all the kittens were too freaking cute! I really enjoyed the characterizations and build, and the ending was wonderful.

I loved Draco and Harry in this, the way that Draco hasn't lost any of his sharp edges, and the undeniable draw they have towards one another. Engaging plot, super hot sex, and a really lovely developing friendship between Draco and George--loved it!

Really interesting fic with Profession Gambler Draco and Harry unexpectedly acting as his bodyguard in Vegas! The setting was wonderfully lush, with lots of fun magical details that made me smile, and the tension between Harry and Draco was fabulous. I appreciated that things weren't easy between them, and that they both had their doubts, but the ending was lovely.

Oh my goodness, this fic was just BRILLIANT! I'm honestly not always the biggest fan of historical/non-magical AUs for HP, but this one was so fantastic and sucked me in from the get-go. Fantastic writing, gorgeous characterizations, and chemistry that sizzles! I absolutely adore the way the author incorporated canon characters/details/events throughout--they were like little Easter eggs that made me smile every time they popped up! Definitely gave me all the harlequin romance feels, in the best kind of way, and the whole thing honestly FLEW by, I couldn't believe it was almost 50k! Definitely recommend! OH, and I can't forget the art, which is absolutely gorgeous and fits the fic so perfectly, I was blown away!

An invitation to the Hogwarts class of 1998's 15th reunion isn't welcomed by either of them, but neither could predict how the night, and their reunion, will upend their lives.
I'll admit I was a bit skeptical going into this one given the unusual-ness of Draco's career, but the author sold me on it and then some!! Draco and Harry are both so wonderfully, richy characterized here, and I loved them both so much, both individually and as a pairing that fit so beautifully together. The settings and characters are gorgeously captured, and the build between Harry and Draco is the stuff feels are made of. And the sex!! The sex just about killed me dead! Really captivating read that just FLEW by.
