Do Me Veela Valentine's Fest 2014 Recs
I definitely have a thing for creature!fics, and I especially love Veela!Fics, because they are pretty much exclusive to the Harry Potter fandom; I can always get my werewolf fix w/ Teen Wolf fic. ;)
This is always a fun fest and, as usual, this year produced some great fics and some lovely art! My favorites are below (mostly H/D) but there were a lot more fabulous entries with a variety of pairings that you can check out on the journal. No masterlist yet...but I think that one is in the works.

Summary: Harry is famous for his menswear now. Malfoy is the inside leg that he loves running his tape measure up.
This fic is funny, and wonderful, and silly, and a bit OOC, but in the best way. Draco is a Veela model, and Harry is a fashion designer in a ridiculous tweed hat, and the Trio are all vegan, and Dean wears plum lipstick, and Lavender does hair and says fetch, and the world building here is just so well done and so much fun! I could not stop smiling. Not to mention that the sex is crazy hot and the tension and connection between Harry and Draco is fantastic.

That is fantastic! Such a fun idea and I loved how the Veela's needs and how a dating agency for Veela's would work are depicted. And, of course, I loved the connection between Harry and Draco and how drawn Harry was to Draco while still trying to be practical about their relationship.

Summary: Draco Malfoy, having finally got Hermione Granger to agree to his Veela bonding contract, excitedly gives her the list of anything and everything she could have in exchange. He doesn't care what she wants, as long as she'll be his. But the longer they sit, the more impatient he gets. She wasn't kidding when she said she would check it thoroughly. After a couple more exasperating minutes, he takes matters in to his own hands and decides she really, really, can decide what she wants later. He turns up the charm, unfurling his wings and pulling her onto his lap, and whispering sweet nothings in her ear. He doesn't have to wait long. And it's not until the next morning, after they've both been sated and he's quite content with her snuggled in his arms, does he glance at the parchment on the floor. And on the agreement line, where she declares what she'd like in return, Hermione had scribbled "You. I just want you."
This is fantastic! I love all the detailing and how Hermione is curled up in Draco's lap! And his wings are seriously impressive! :)
