The Dresden Files Recs
I started listening to The Dresden Files book series on audiobook a couple of years ago, and the series has totally hooked me. Each one is better than the last, building on previous plot points, weaving in old and new threads, and generally just being super entertaining. As I usually do when I consume a new piece of awesome media, I went trolling for fic. Here are some of my favorites! :D

Harry takes objection to this, of course, and with the help of his friends (who have been treating him rather a lot like some depressed maiden recently, much to his chagrin) plots how to escape this hold, and, ultimately, discover the big plot behind his capture to begin with. Along the way, though, he also begins to discover emotions for someone that he didn't quite expect.
Such an enjoyable read! Marcone "dies" and Harry has to deal with his grief as well as Marcone's replacement who is keen on getting Harry under his thumb (and in his bed). Interesting plot, and I enjoyed seeing Harry come to realize his feelings for Marcone. (Spoilers through book 9)

Wow, this fic is seriously fantastic!! Goes AU during book 2 with spoilers through book 4 and I just loved how the author kept some canon events and aspects, but tweaked them just enough to keep it interested and work with the concept. Marcone and Harry are both perfectly characterized and the slow build between them was absolutely glorious. Perfectly paced, with some fantastic simmering tension that builds and builds until it reaches a seriously steamy crescendo. There were originally supposed to be two other full sequels, but the author has stated they do not plan on continuing the series. A shame, because I adore this world, but luckily it reads absolutely fine on its own. (Series has major spoilers through book 3, vague spoilers through and beyond book 5.)

Along the way, though, he also begins to discover emotions for someone that he didn't quite expect.
Such an enjoyable read! Marcone "dies" and Harry has to deal with his grief as well as Marcone's replacement who is keen on getting Harry under his thumb (and in his bed). Interesting plot, and I enjoyed seeing Harry come to realize his feelings for Marcone. (Spoilers through book 9)

Wow, this fic is seriously fantastic!! Goes AU during book 2 with spoilers through book 4 and I just loved how the author kept some canon events and aspects, but tweaked them just enough to keep it interested and work with the concept. Marcone and Harry are both perfectly characterized and the slow build between them was absolutely glorious. Perfectly paced, with some fantastic simmering tension that builds and builds until it reaches a seriously steamy crescendo. There were originally supposed to be two other full sequels, but the author has stated they do not plan on continuing the series. A shame, because I adore this world, but luckily it reads absolutely fine on its own. (Series has major spoilers through book 3, vague spoilers through and beyond book 5.)
