Derek didn't know how he kept getting set up on blind dates by his family, or why he kept going on them. The highlight of his night was when the date was over and he could go to the little bookshop in town and buy something to read for the rest of the night. He wanted to read, not date.
Really sweet fic with Stiles as a bookshop owner and Derek as an avid reader who keeps escaping into the bookshop after his blind dates. Loved the development of their relationship in this one. The matchmaking Hales were a little much at times, but overall a really enjoyable fic with an adorable ending.

The characterizations are perfect and I am in love with the connection between Stiles and Derek and the UST and the longing to touch that finally culminates in some hot and sweet sex.

Sort of a different vibe from a lot of AUs in that most everybody has sort of grown up and apart, which made for a refreshing change of pace.

This was a fantastically well written AU. The characters were interesting and well-developed and the relationship build between Stiles and Derek was fantastic. Full disclosure, I have not yet read the third fic, but based on the first two fics, it's probably great! :)

And yeah, in any other circumstance Stiles might admit that the stubble and general sense of 'stay the hell away from me' totally works for him. But right now it's just intimidating as fuck.
Fun and relatively fluffy tennis AU. Hot sex and a lovely relationship between Derek and Stiles.

Anyways, they came onto my radar again recently and I could not for the life of me remember why I had decided not to give them a go. So I finally read them and I am so freaking glad, because both fics are delightful and so much fun! I love the world created here, and how all the characters are perfectly incorporated. It is a funny and fairly light series, which I desperately need sometimes, and the connection (and sex!) between Stiles and Derek is fantastic. Time seriously flew by while I was reading and I could not stop smiling and laughing throughout.

Stiles and Derek's relationship is fantastic here and I loved all the Football players! Plus the sex was crazy freaking hot! Also, even though there is switching in this fic, I would say it is primarily bottom!stiles, just as an FYI.

This may seem like a somewhat strange fusion but OMG it is so freaking awesome. It is fantastically written and such a wonderful, heartwarming story, made even more special for the little allusions and connections to Anne of Green Gables, a story which meant a lot to me as a child. I love how the characters have been incorporated in this fic and the characterizations here are truly lovely. There is seriously so much to love here; the sweetness of Stiles and the Sheriff becoming a family, the amazing friendship between Scott and Stiles, Scott's adulation of the adorable Allison, Cora's fiery independence, and the developing love between Derek and Stiles. And while it is pretty true to the times in terms of society's view on homosexuality, this does have a believable and happy ending!

But when he lays eyes on the boy laying amid his furs, he finds his breath catching in his throat. His skin is golden with the candle-light glimmering against the sheen of oil that has been slathered on his bared body. His lips are parted, and they work over inaudible words or sounds. His skin is flushed, nipples peaked and pierced with simple but unexpected golden rings. He's spectacularly beautiful in the candlelight. The many glowing candles that have been added to his usual lighting cast glittering edges and shadows, imbuing an almost unearthly golden color to his skin.
It's enough that Derek hesitates.
Incredibly written and super engaging Historical/Human/Royalty AU with warrior prince Derek out fighting the Argents under his Uncle Peter's command and Stiles as a slave gifted to Derek. The world-building and plot here is wonderfully done, and the build and connection between Derek and Stiles is lovely. There's some darker content here, but the author provides plenty of chapter warnings for any bits you might need to skip, and for the most part it's relatively mild. Derek Hale is slightly taller than him, his face is stubbled and just as grumpy in real life as he's seen in numerous photos and video coverage. And yeah, in any other circumstance Stiles might admit that the stubble and general sense of 'stay the hell away from me' totally works for him. But right now it's just intimidating as fuck.
Fun and relatively fluffy tennis AU. Hot sex and a lovely relationship between Derek and Stiles.

I've seen these fics recced all over the place since I joined fandom, and for some reason I decided not to read them. I don't remember what it was, but something put me off and every time they came up again, I remembered that I hadn't wanted to read them and moved on. Anyways, they came onto my radar again recently and I could not for the life of me remember why I had decided not to give them a go. So I finally read them and I am so freaking glad, because both fics are delightful and so much fun! I love the world created here, and how all the characters are perfectly incorporated. It is a funny and fairly light series, which I desperately need sometimes, and the connection (and sex!) between Stiles and Derek is fantastic. Time seriously flew by while I was reading and I could not stop smiling and laughing throughout.

This was so freaking amazing!! I was a little apprehensive at first , because this is a very different world from Teen Wolf, but it worked really well. It was wonderfully written and I think the more difficult issues (internalized homophobia, coming out in sports etc.) were really well handled and didn't overpower the story. Stiles and Derek's relationship is fantastic here and I loved all the Football players! Plus the sex was crazy freaking hot! Also, even though there is switching in this fic, I would say it is primarily bottom!stiles, just as an FYI.

Stiles is the adopted son of the Sheriff, brought to Beacon Hills to hopefully stay for good. A family, a best friend, school, the Lady of Shallot, Jackson as Josie Pye (because who else could he be?) and the mystery of a dark haired, green-eyed boy which leads Stiles to discovering a secret within himself.
This may seem like a somewhat strange fusion but OMG it is so freaking awesome. It is fantastically written and such a wonderful, heartwarming story, made even more special for the little allusions and connections to Anne of Green Gables, a story which meant a lot to me as a child. I love how the characters have been incorporated in this fic and the characterizations here are truly lovely. There is seriously so much to love here; the sweetness of Stiles and the Sheriff becoming a family, the amazing friendship between Scott and Stiles, Scott's adulation of the adorable Allison, Cora's fiery independence, and the developing love between Derek and Stiles. And while it is pretty true to the times in terms of society's view on homosexuality, this does have a believable and happy ending!

Derek ducks into his tent with a resigned sigh, prepared to dress and reassign whatever new beauty Peter has bought him. They do make for loyal servants, so he can't really complain about Peter's 'gifts'. But it is annoying to deal with, to have to spend his evening sorting out a slave instead of being able to go right to bed. It's just something he has to learn to accept as a byproduct of serving alongside his uncle.
But when he lays eyes on the boy laying amid his furs, he finds his breath catching in his throat. His skin is golden with the candle-light glimmering against the sheen of oil that has been slathered on his bared body. His lips are parted, and they work over inaudible words or sounds. His skin is flushed, nipples peaked and pierced with simple but unexpected golden rings. He's spectacularly beautiful in the candlelight. The many glowing candles that have been added to his usual lighting cast glittering edges and shadows, imbuing an almost unearthly golden color to his skin.
It's enough that Derek hesitates.
Incredibly written and super engaging Historical/Human/Royalty AU with warrior prince Derek out fighting the Argents under his Uncle Peter's command and Stiles as a slave gifted to Derek. The world-building and plot here is wonderfully done, and the build and connection between Derek and Stiles is lovely. There's some darker content here, but the author provides plenty of chapter warnings for any bits you might need to skip, and for the most part it's relatively mild.
