I'm am swearing to be a better LJer (we'll see, lol) Ok, beautiful day again in Michigan starting as three very chatty squirrels are entertaining and teasing the Lido the lab by racing each other round and round the tree that stands directly in front of my living room windows...loud and raucous they are...Lido is not amused. Off to boat and metal detect today and again mushrooming. Yesterdays 'shrooming was not productive...mainly because of the awful skeeters. It has been a funny summer for the nasty buggers. We started out with them being horrible, just tons and tons of them and in size larger than usual it seemed to me. Those finally slacked off in August and there was about a month where I swear we had none. After and since the Ike rains, as I refer to them, we have had hatches of the teeniest, tiniest skeeters I have ever seen. The odd thing is that they leave very large, very itchy angry welt like bites...is it possible for a locale to all of a sudden get a new type of skeeter? Anyway, day is a wasting!
