been a while huh?
I started to neglect Livejournal once we got Facebook at L-R, so sorry for the lack of updates.
I just got back from AFFIRM (South-Eastern Synod Lutheran Youth Gathering), I worked as a counselor in Journey's which is about finding your way through faith. We all shared our Journey's with the youth so they could learn a bit from our life experience...at the ripe old age of 21. But I think they really did get something out of it from my end...or rather God's end through me. Which was amazing, because I didn't nothing musical, and I was used more than I ever have been before. Very interesting, and ironic that my low point in the week was when I was asked to get up and play something for worship. Which might have been more my fault because I didn't want to.
Despite and because of me, God was faithful and present in a big way. Anytime you can get youth to sit down and be quite for three hours is amazing, much less when they are quiet and PRAYING the whole time. It was incredible to watch. (We did a prayer labyrinth with prayer stations afterwards).
Anyway, I've started looking more into the livejournal thing again because a few of my kids have one...seeing as how they don't have facebook, they all have myspaces, which I am really not crazy about...I think I'll stick to the livejournal way of communication. Probably a bit hypocritical in some way, but I don't really care...
