I love Halloween because it always symbolized the beginning of the holiday smorgasbord.
I've had kindof a weird day so far.. haha It started out with waking up and going outside to see that my pumpkin was rotten and had fallen off of the windowsil. So, while I was trying to scrape up the goo from the sidewalk, some guy walked by and said "I'm real sorry that happened." and I look up.. and it was like a skinny version of santa clause. so weird.
so I said "yeah.. well, it wasn't a very high quality pumpkin. oh well" and he says "I'll say a prayer for you today."
For serious, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.
THEN I went to QFC to get some candy incase we get tricker treaters (even though, now that my pumpkin rotted we have no decorations to symbolize that we won't murder children that stop by for candy)
Of course, by the time we got the first tricker treater we didn't have very much candy left.. haha. and I feel bad but I figured we wouldn't get many here even if we had jackolanterns because it looks a little scuzzy outside and our porch light doesn't work.
meh.
Dude! Also.. I saw on the rat message board, (I know, I'm pathetic,) that Ratapalooza is going to be on Nov. 12th. (for any lame-oes that read my blog and don't know what Ratapalooza is, it is to the NW rat community what Bumbershoot is to the NW music community.) Last year I ALMOST went. Jeremy said I should go and he'd come with me, bless his heart, but I don't know if it's a good idea. I know the last thing I need right now is more responsibilities to tend to.. plus my apartment doesn't allow rats. and Ratapalooza is known for clouding the better judgement of people who attend and they end up stopping at petsmart on the way home to buy enough supplies for all their new ratties. plus my top three favorite ratteries are going to have displays there, (Rattie Rascals, Rodents of Unusual Sweetness, and the SITH rattery.)
aaaaaaaaaaaagh I can't decide! I know it would be fun and I won't come home with any rats but it will suck to be so close and then have to say no despite my expert ability to rationalize that sort of thing on the spot.
gah. I dunno. I'll probably end up going. Hopefully I won't regret it.
Now for some festive halloween studying of pharmacology!
