Paint Leftovers

I decided it was time to clean off my painting board, lots of piled-up acrylic paints spattered all over the place. Using the palette knife, I began scrapping off the paint, quickly breaking it into tiny pieces. It didn't take long to notice these blots of multi- blended colors were too cool to just toss in the garbage. So I saved them, not knowing if I was creative enough to create something worth keeping.

Night after night, I'd walk into the studio and stare at these random blobs of paint, but no idea came, so I'd walk out.

Nearly a month later, falling asleep after spending time with Mary Jane, I had a mahvelous, ingenious, extraordinary idea! Use the pieces of paint as hats for a group of stick drawings.

Ta-Da! I enjoyed finding the right paint blob to sit on my stick-figures head.

A quick button press in LightRoom created this negative image, which is quite nifty.

I am pondering the idea of drawing a box around each photo and trying to create the look of an old brick apartment building, with my stick figures in each apartment window. But, Dunno. I'm open to other ideas.
