I can't wait to show you all my Kombucha results! There are two fermentation processes. The first one is named F1 and this is just brewed strong tea that has cooled down to room temperature. Then the Scoby is dropped into the mix, covered with cloth and left alone for about 3 or 4 days. The second phase, aptly named F2, is when you put the fermented tea into jars that are tightly sealed, this is when the fizz is created and when you can add fruit, takes another couple days.
The first batch turned out perfect and my little scoby is growing and today I learned when they begin to multiply you create a Scoby Hotel.
Today is Earth Day and we walked to the park and celebrated with others. Isn't she a cutie-pie. I started to call her that right after I took the picture but realized that may not be appropriate so I told she looks FANTASTIC. She smiled.
...and, I don't know what this is called, it's some kind of martial art. I had to stop filming cause people continually walked in front of me. I wish I were younger, this looks like heaps of fun.
