This past year as I was doing my Catalions thing, I walked the neighborhood a lot, just looking around, seeing what’s there. I have lived here now for five years and love being downtown. One of the signs you see as you enter town is “Sacramento - City of Trees” and it is. Below and behind the cut are a few of the trees I photographed during my Catalions season. They’re all over town and in fact this first one is just a block from my house, right next to the freeway. The city takes pride in their big old trees and like Ky tells me, it’s not by accident so many old trees have survived.
Route the cars around. Don't cut down.
