I met the most interesting character today, upon visitng the world of Balamb.
His name is Zell Dincht, and he is by far the most exciting thing that has happened to me.
I first found him sitting alone, depressed, the object of his affection with another. And despite the fact that I lack a heart, I felt as if I needed to help him, comfort him. So we sat for a while and were miserable together. When he begged me to take his heart, I could not do it. Why? I've reaped several hearts in the past, so why can't I do it to him? So I told him no and we continued our session of anguish. Talking, sharing things, and eventually he felt better. And to see him happy somehow made me happy.
