It was only 3:20 pm, and they were coming out of the cafeteria after the whole “I must get my revenge” Mir issue, however, Hongki had more things in his little mind~
“Listen guys, I’d love to stay and question Mir all about that guy, but I must go to the head master’s office. Some serious shit is going around and I need to investigate” Hongki ended up smirking like the goofball he is. The two watched one blond girl bounce happily over the place till she was out of their sight.
“Do I even want to guess?” Mir said sighing; he himself was acting a bit funny. Jaejin shrugged and chuckled when remembering one Choi Jonghun waiting for Hongki, well not really anticipating, but he surely is going surprised in three minutes or so.
But Hongki didn’t care, and he is going to top one very moody raven-haired teen. ‘Ahhh, there he is.’ Hongki thought as he saw the man of his wet dreams, a slight giggle creeping upon him.
However, his entire plan stopped immediately as he saw a peek of something. Hongki tilted his head, but then curiosity got the best of him, so he turned around. Even more carefully, he tiptoed around the corner to look in the art room with two students inside it.
One was a very familiar raven-haired male, sitting behind his piano, smiling. Yep, that was a first. Hongki couldn’t believe his honey eyes. A hand rose to tug his hair behind his ear.
He kept his eyes, glowing in rage, at the person sitting beside Jonghun thought. The coal-black long hair was so familiar Hongki had to stop himself from breaking.
His heart ached so much at the moment. He tried not to misunderstand, but how can he not? The whole scene before his eyes screamed misunderstood.
But how can he act now? How can he hide his emotions? And why did Seunghyun must turn his eyes to look inside of Hongki? Why was he being in the only place Hongki really wanted to be, inside Jonghun’s circle of trust?
He stood there; fists collecting by his side as he looked at his subject of attraction smiling at Seunghyun while his fingers at the piano’s keys. Obviously, Jonghun was playing a song for Seunghyun, and the devil was enjoying it too much.
A smirk appeared on the devil’s face. Hongki frowned while looking downward, but the move Seunghyun did, didn’t go unnoticed by Hongki’s eyes.
A single slim hand rose from Seunghyun’s side, brushed against Jonghun’s cheek and ended on his shoulder. The black headed pianist smiled to the boy next to him, and the blond watching broke…
‘I can’t believe it…’
He couldn’t stand there, so Hongki hurried into the building. However, at reaching the room, he stopped. His heart sank into his chest as the sound of Jonghun’s piano cut through his heart.
‘If I go inside now, and see them together, can I say something? ’ he thought over in his head, he felt pathetic. But his hand moved at its own mind. He opened the door. Letting the whole scene be wholly visible to his eyes.
The two heads turned in his direction. Jonghun was bewildered, while Seunghyun held smugness. Hongki could feel his lips trembling.
“What are you doing here? I told you I don’t want to see your face” Jonghun nothing but spat at Hongki. Standing up from his seat, leaving Seunghyun behind, he hurried to Hongki.
“Go! I don’t want you to be here, anywhere but here!” he said. As if this place was the place that held the most treasured feelings for Jonghun. Those black orbs were so dark, gazing at Hongki’s own honey watery eyes.
His tears broke from his eyes, while looking at Jonghun with an emotion, and expression he never showed anyone before, his hand raised from his side to bang on Jonghun’s chest, right where the heart was. His knock was slow and quiet, it didn’t make much affect. The quietness only made Hongki fell more miserable.
“Just like I thought, you don’t have a heart! You’re so cold! Like a fucking snowman!” because of his anger, rage and frustration, Hongki hugged Jonghun. The young man in black was shocked, his eyes widened as the warm breath out of Hongki’s mouth brushed against his neck, while strong arms hugged his neck closely.
“Let go of me” yelled the younger, he snapped away from Hongki, staring with visible anger and disgust. The blond kept staring downward though when his eyes rose, he looked at Seunghyun and muttered,
“This is not over. You don’t take something that is mine and get away with it” he started to growl when he saw the satisfied face Seunghyun had,
“I am not yours!” yelled Jonghun. Never in his life have Hongki heard a man yell at him, but then he is mistaken. Hongki glanced incredulously at Jonghun while the want to slap him is getting stronger, but he just pushed it to the back of his head,
“We’ll see about that! Choi Jonghun, I am not playing!” Hongki said, his voice cracking in the end, turning mush and just weak. He walked away, out of the room, without closing the door. He wanted to see if one of them had the guts to say anything to his ticking bomb.
Then, it hit him. He was rejected too much! He needs to finally get Jonghun. If he didn’t get Jonghun’s heart this year, he might loose his own life.
Yes, Hongki was on a mission, however, he didn’t know how much his mission will effect people by his side, like Mir, who was looking troubled at Hongki’s running figure,
“Oh! What happened to hyung?” Mir said as he saw the blond passes them. Jaejin mirrored the same questioning face Mir had.
“I don’t think I have an idea…” his eyes moved to look at the direction Hongki ran from, and it was the music room Jonghun usually used. He suspected something going on, since every time Hongki tires make a move on Jonghun, the other just blocks his heart away from Hongki in an even meaner way. ‘I wonder what he did this time.’ Jaejin thought, anxious and just tired of that love sick Hongki.
‘Why is Hongki crying?’ the two thought in sync. But none found an answer. Apparently, a crying Hongki was a big deal, since the boy being sad was a once-in-a-life-time-thing to happen.
Jaejin walked to his room, breathing heavily along the way. He was nervous of course, but he had promised himself he will not show it to anyone, not even Hongki.
He held the key in his hands, the silver letters of TR222 shining in the dim light over the building.
Now that he realises it, the suite was not in the western building where the males stayed, nor was it in the northern building. It was on another building, just across from the building for the head master, and his assistances.
The place was not opened last year, that’s why Jaejin had never been there. He looked around the halls which were so dark, even as it was only 5:36 pm.
He searched for a light’s switch, and finally found one, which switched on all the lights for the whole place. The place now looked like a normal school dorm in the beginnings of September. He smiled as assurance slipped under his skin and his troubled heart beat was comforted again.
He walked a bit of distance, the hall was a bit narrow but it was also on the first floor of the building and opened to the huge yard; you can say that Jaejin was not afraid of being kidnapped. He saw few students walk by him, smiling to him. He smiled back before finally getting to the suite.
He opened the door using his key, and he was taken aback when he saw how light the room was. First, it was a living room, with a kitchen on the right, an open kitchen and convenient.
On his left he saw one corridor leading to one door, he thought it might be the bathroom. He walked forward, down the stairs just there to lead for a very spacious living room.
The place was classy, that’s the least you can say about it. The colours were comfortable in grey, light blue colours and Jaejin’s favourite, lime. He smiled as he went through the living room, his shoes forgotten at the door.
The couch was beautiful in that comfortable white, which lime coloured cushions. A door on his right opened, it was next to the kitchen.
Jaejin’s head snapped back at the intruder of this nice quiet moment. He saw a young man, around the same age of Minhwan. He was tall, with long black hair. It covered equally dark brown eyes.
He had the rope on him, so the light blush Jaejin sported on his cheek did not stretch all over his body, because of any future flush expose.
The young man smiled, waving a hand lightly near his head. Apparently that room was the bathroom, guess Jaejin was wrong. That door must be the study room then.
“Hello, I’m Minhyuk.” said the young man, while approaching Jaejin calmly. He had a nice aura around himself. Jaejin smiled back, giving Minhyuk an equally beautiful smile.
“I’m Jaejin, nice to meet you” he said, letting go of Minhyuk’s hand, which rose to rub the nape of Minhyuk’s neck.
“Listen, I don’t want you to feel awkward, but I was late when entering the lovelies program. It came as a last moment decision. I’m sorry I didn’t inform you earlier” Minhyuk blurted out. He seems to be a lot more comfortable, if you call the fidgeting and small smiles he gave Jaejin comfortable.
Jaejin just smiled and shrugged. Of course he freaked out and fainted like the girly man he is, but now he sees Minhyuk, he can be assured, his ass is fine.
“Don’t worry about it. Anyway, I’m hungry. Want to have a snack?” he said while moving over the kitchen. He looked through the cupboards and there was canned food. In the fridge he found some burgers and then he smirked when there was bread.
“Okay, you make the burgers, and I’ll go change. Can’t stay naked a lot” Minhyuk said, a lot more loosely now. Jaejin smiled at him before looking at the pacing boy. Minhyuk disappeared around the corner at Jaejin’s left.
He saw that there was another door just few steps away from Minhyuk’s room. ‘That must be my room’ he thought. His things must be there already, and he didn’t feel that rushed to go check them, they were never missing a thing through the past two years; a third won’t be the exception.
He started to make some food. He was very hungry, because he was anxious over lunch, then the Mir thing happened. By the way, what’s up with Mir? He looks like he’s got troubles with that guy.
‘I must talk to him later,’ thought Jaejin, but soon he was into making the burgers. The smell of hamburger was filling the air. He made two huge burgers using wheat bread and some vegetables, and of course extra cheese, his favourite.
Just in time to wrap the burgers and get some refreshers from the fridge, Minhyuk came. Jaejin looked up at the boy, who looked like a real girl, so much Jaejin had to stop staring.
The boy had short hair, black and curly. It fitted his slim face and made those eyes glow. He was not wearing any makeup, and he surely looked very nice with those clothes he had put on. He wore black leggings with a black dotted skirt. He wore a short sleeved white tee shirt which was very fitting to his body.
“Wow!” Jaejin didn’t stop himself from expressing his please.
“Thanks, I guess. Anyway, let’s eat” he smiles, to which Jaejin mirrors. They sit around the table in the kitchen. The silence is nice and comfortable. No need for them to be awkward, just new friends getting know to each other.
“So Minhyuk, how old are you? You look kind of a sophomore” Jaejin asks when he takes a break from his burger to sip from his red cherries juice.
“Well I am supposed to be a sophomore, but I was aback for a year because of health issues. So now I’m a freshman” he smiles through bites.
“Ahhh, then you’re as old as me, but younger in grade. Cool!” they smile at each other. It’s weird how you can feel comfortable with someone from the first time you meet.
‘I’m thankful; Minhyuk is just a normal guy, like me and Hongki. Wait, Hongki is not normal… by the way, what happened to Hongki? He looked stressed a bit…’ Jaejin’s head trailed to two hours ago…
