Thanks! You have three kids; so, that does make you a prime target for questions and advice requests. Thankfully the morning sickness was worst early on (just prior and after the first doctor appt.) and is now much less of an issue. Right now a cold is kicking my ass. Weather's getting cooler here. I guess I did too much over the weekend (probably shouldn't been planting mums Sunday without a jacket on) and it caught up to me. I started going through the tissues Sunday evening, made it through work yesterday but felt slight fever and chills last night. I finally broke down and took a couple of tylenol (after reading that they were the one thing of that sort considered safe throughout the pregnancy) and that helped -- slept and woke up feeling a bit better. Still tired of my nose running. And getting sick from the nose dripping internally sucks. Most discouraging is reading that being pregnant makes you more prone to colds and that they'll last longer. Is it really better to be pregnant in the fall/winter than in the heat of the summer if one is more likely to get sick during this time? Did you find yourself with many colds when you were pregnant? What'd you find worked best when you felt worst? Sigh... sneeze... sigh...
I suppose you can use saline solution to try to clear your nose up, sometimes i would use afrin. (That was just me doing it, no doctor suggestion, I didnt even ask.) Something though about everything being swollen during pregnancy, including your nose, so if you have the slightest sniffle you're extra clogged. Something like that.
Pregnancy during the summer was BRUTAL. The winter ones were easier, especially since I was always HOT. I don't think I zipped my coat up even once! Just be careful walking on ice at the end since you're a bit wobbly. I didn't seem to be sick more or less with any of the pregnancies. I do remember one particularly bad cough but i am not sure if it was WITH Finbar or just after he was born. And I think one flu-like thing each pregnancy that knocked me out for a couple of days. Most my complaints were either stomach related, or from being so huge, the strain it caused on my body. I had gestational diabetes so my babies were big and I had extra amniotic fluid. So I was HUGE HUGE HUGE. Oh and a migraine but I don't get those any more.
Funny how pregnancy sorted out my migraines, and my periods. I was NEVER regular and now I am kind of regular. Go figure.
