Guess what? Three days ago, we got a puppy!! She's a collie/hound mix, about 26 pounds right now, and she's 6 monthes old. She's sooo cute but very timid around new ppl. Around me and my sisters, however, she's really playful and licks us to death :) We named her Gypsy just cause it's cute and we found it fitting. She came from Puerto Rico where they have a wicked bad dog problem. There are so many dogs wandering around that they poison them to keep them out of the garbage and flowerbeds :_( So, we saved one thatnk God!! BUt because she's already 6 monthes old, her really crucial training age has already passed and she tends to be a bit fearful. If someone raises their hand to get something, for example, she'll skitter away cause she thinks we'll hit her :( I don't know what happened to her when she was little but it wasn't good. She also is afraid that we'll take her food away from her so gobbles it down and will become really protective of her food. It's hard to train her not to growl at us but we're working on it. She really is a sweet dog. It's not her fault she was abused and abandoned :( Soooo, yeah, that's basically how I'm spending my days. Training the new dog and babysitting her. There always needs to be at least one person at home watching her cause she's not completely house-trained yet. Well, wish me luck with the training process! I need to catch up on my sleep. Ciao.
