i drank you in like good sleep. the sweet bed of sugar cane where i came to lie. told you i spoke only truth but lover you shouldn't ever believe a thief. so wake up my japanese beauty. to tea and a note i instructed to speak you these words. 'you'll find your ribs are buried beneath the bed along with your trust. but your heart is staying with me. and i'll be a thousand evening strolls in a southwest direction. i thought this my brilliant escape. and you the white bud of a lotus i tossed into the sea. set to drifting endlessly while i told the fishermen to hold their nets full of these beautiful fish and eventually the sharks will smell their skin and come looking for something innocent to eat. and i would be free to wander these foreign beaches. but i find myself listening for your voice in the soil. my still eyes shining. when i awoke from such a lovely sleep.
