It's January. And finally it's cold. Apparently here in North Carolina 60 degrees passes for January. What I wouldn't give for snow. But then again I might be tempted to try to ski again - and this time it could kill me. That's right. The boy took me skiing. It was hard and I got angry, but I survived and almost liked it.
Now classes have started up. On top of that I have to teach one general chemistry lab and TA for an undergraduate Inorganic class. If that wasn't enough I've started working in the lab. Which lab? This one: http://www.chem.duke.edu/~kfranz/labgroup/index.html The plan is to find a way to prevent iron from doing bad things in the body.
However, I do get lab space, chemicals, and for the first time ever, a desk dedicated solely to work. Which is exactly why I'm sitting at it playing Spider Solitaire and writing this. Granted work is scattered around me, yet no progress has been made.
Any thoughts on nose q-tips?
