grant scharton?! no way, this can't be...
To make a long story short, I've been hanging out with Courtney for a little over a month. Two weeks ago, I met one of her good friends from ISU at the Journey concert, Hobart. This past weekend Coutney and I were going to Nicky Blanes to meet up with Hobart and his old roommate/friend. Ironically this friend was Grant!!! We were both so stunned!
Things never worked between Grant and I. Everytime we tried to get together, I could have told you in advance that things were going to crash and burn. Why we got together?? I'd say I felt some pressure... It seemed to always be him pursing me more than the other way around. Anyway, he was a GREAT friend and I think you always hope that things will work out between guy friends when you start a relationship with them, but often times it's best to just leave it at friends. The final time we broke up (we are talking two attempts at being together, each no longer than a month), he immediately got with this other girl, Hillary. Grant and Hillary, I am excited to say, are still together and he said they will probably get married, eventually.
So back to seeing Grant. We were both so stunned when we actually came face to face. He is one person from my past that I have so much respect for and I wish him nothing but the BEST in all he does in life; though, he doesn't need it. (Sadly, I can't say that about many people in my past.)
Anyhow, we were hanging out and catching up. We decided it would be cool to hang out again sometime, eventually. I put my number in his phone only to find out later in the night that he deleted it. I asked him why and his response was "Hillary". We decided to put my number in under a different name (captain)... lord knows he probably deleted it again. As I explained to Grant, while I have alot of respect for his relationship with Hillary and understand that I am the ex-gf, they have been together for 4 years. If she can't trust him, that's crap!!! I was so incredibly irritated!
