Internships, Interfaith Youth Core, and Interpersonal Happiness
I love my internship!! I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!! why?
(1) amazing vision and work being done - an I'm taking a small part
(2) phenomenal team - my co-workers are not only competent, intelligent, and high-functioning, but they are NICE and interested in me as a person too! LOTS of team-work and collaborative projects! And great windows in the office, so good lighting. And on my second day we have "cookie time" for the entire staff to come and meet me and just kind of let me know who they are :-) wonderful
(3) SUPERB project - I'm helping research and rework a class that Eboo and Cassie are teaching in the spring so next week's entire project is reading, research and learning. Plus I get to work with networking seminarians... super fun-ness.
(4) fabulous supervisor - Cassie is helpful and friendly, but she is also a great communicator and clearly also a team players. And she has met with me 3 times in the two days since I started - and each meeting was a perfectly appropriate amount of time, and an effective use of our time :-)
so yeah, the IFYC ROCKS and I am totally blessed to be working there.
and last night - after my second 14 hour day in a row, I staggered home and got a call from Lori, my old friend which was totally a blessing! and while I was one the phone Amanda, my semi-roommate came down and DID MY DISHES - Amanda, you are seriously quite the angel, WONDERFUL!
that's all. I'm jsut happy and wanted to share. ON to my class now. I love classes.
