There have been numerous biographies written about the life (and loves) of Grace Kelly. I was hoping we might hold a discussion about these biographies. Which bios have the members of this community read? Which do you consider the best/the worst? How much do you believe about the things that were written about Grace?
I'm curious to hear others' opinions about the information that is out there. As many of us might know, the Wendy Leigh biography that came out within the past few years seemed to reopen the can of worms that was Grace Kelly's love life. Personally, I believe the biography to be mostly inflammatory and written like tabloid - with many rumours/claims presented, but with little evidence or fact to support them. I don't believe that Grace was chaste, but I also don't believe she was as flamboyantly promiscuous as Leigh claims she was.
I personally enjoyed the recent authorized biography by Donald Spoto, which included stories from the Princess' own mouth, as well as approval from her children. However, I've heard some critique that the biography was too "safe" and too much of an attempt by the biographer to "defend Grace's honor."
What do you think? Please, let's discuss! :)
