the week has been very nice overall. very nice weather, plenty of tanning and eating and shopping and walking around the cute little town. i got some gold shoes, a cute lamp, some earrings, and some butterfly decorations for my wall.
earlier in the week we went to a hot springs and drank pina coladas with cinnamon. one night we all played cranium, which, by the way, is probably the most entertaining board game in the history of all board games. it brought back memories of last year at cornett's house when we played and had one of the best nights ever (reproducing!)...
anyway, yesterday we saw a violin and piano concert and had some ice cream in the jardin in the middle of town, where there were mariachis and mexican dancers performing. tonight we drove up to the mirador, which was a overlook where you could look out over the whole town.
there were a few low spots, including one night when my dad inexplicably decided that in the middle of a family vacation surrounded by grandparents and my friend would be a good time to bring up a bunch of problems he has with me and how mean he thinks i am to everyone. for all intensive purposes (i understand it's really intents and purposes, thanks, but i refuse to say it) he decided it would be a good time to start an all-out screaming brawl with me. also, for the record, katherine said that she had not noticed me being anything but perfectly nice to everyone the entire time she was with us.
lil hasn't been sleeping well so she has occasionally been grumpy and mean to me for the past couple days.
finally, and this is kind of funny but also very bad, katherine stepped on the corner of the skylight of the neighbor's house and broke the glass! it's so bad because the neighbors are letting my grandparents use their house while they are away so we all have beds to sleep in. my grandparents have a really cute little sitting area up on the roof and we have been laying out up there, and if you walk up the stairs to the neighbors' roof you can hop over to my grandparents roof and get to the sitting area, but you have to shimmy around the skylight and katherine accidentally stepped on the very corner. it was already cracked, so it broke. eeeee!
the point is, mexico will get you in the end, fuckers.
