Who: Tegan was born into Clubs, the second child of an Eight of Clubs and a Six of Diamonds; her father died when she was eight and her mother departed the Deck soon afterwards. Tegan spent the next two years shuffled between relatives until, finally, she was handed off to an acquaintance of her mother - who happened to be a Ten of Spades - who took over her education.
At fifteen, Tegan returned to the Clubs and began her gradual climb. Things changed, however, when her bid for Seven ended in a fatality - it was ruled an accident, though it was never decisively proven one way or the other - and she took her place as the Head of the Castle kitchens. That was four years ago now.
Recently, she made a bid for Nine - which succeeded - before finding she found herself appointed to the position of Jack. Needless to say she's living in interesting times.
