There was good lighting today, so I decided to take some daylight pictures of the cabin.  After all, its not always night time with music and candlelight.

Of course, Nemo had to investigate.

Eventually when I get around to it, I'm going to print out some maps and prints and pages of books, and letters and sheet music, etc.  But I'll wait and do it at work where we have a super high quality printer with fade-resistant colorfast ink and lignin-free archival paper.  Because I don't want my little maps and charts to change color.  I try to do everything archivally in my miniatures - use glue and plastics that won't yellow, use paints that won't discolor or fade, use archival paper, etc.  I'm a conservator, and it's ingrained in me now.  But fading/discoloring digital prints make me sad!

And for a sense of what the scale is (1:12, or 1 inch = 1 foot) here's a picture of the whole box sitting in the bathroom, where the nicest light was coming in through the window (for the lighting of all those photographs above).  Both sections of the box have Plexiglas panels, but I removed the top one for the photographs.  The bottom compartment is the sick bay, which isn't yet ready for its closeup.
