i act; i should dance, but i didn't begin at an early enough age. you see, i believe that while theatre adequately presents the human condition, dance captures the soul. theatre is encumbered by words. the soul speaks with a language that transcends our strung-together verbs and phrases. plays are boxed in by setting, characters, plot; they need stories. a dance needs no circumstances to explain its course. of course, dance would be mute sans music. the intertwining of physical expression and notes produces a universal voice that awakens the soul. while i adore the pictures plays convey, i prefer a purer expression of the soul's course. i want leave inspired and perplexed. the soul beats a message far beyond our intellectual comprehension.
it's late; i'm drained.
