HERAKLES WHAT. That is amazing*. This fic is amazing. Also, this is probably weird, but-shank is an awesome word. I LOVE EDMUND IN THIS FIC. And Edmund and Peter sparring with sticks.

Narnia had always been open-minded. It was in the very nature of the place, for this was a place of the strange and the unusual, of the Imagination, of magic.

So it was without fuss that Narnia welcomed its first pair of Kings in marriage, made easier, to be sure, by the simple fact that it was Edmund and Caspian and everyone already loved them. Narnian succession had never been simply hereditary anyway, and thus it was that King Edmund and King Caspian lived out their days - together, openly, and dearly loved.

ffffff *draws enormous hearts around paragraph* YES.

* ASLAN IS HERAKLES-dude, I need this backstory.

Basically, Herakles was feeling guilty about how he caused a lot of trouble in his quest to prove his own greatness, and ended up creating his own world that was based on inner strength rather than outer. (which only half worked, but whatever). and in it he could be a wise lion that was never wrong. but narnia ended up teaching him more about himself than anything else did, and YEAH OKAY NOW I AM GOING TO WRITE THIS FIC, TOO.

i actually looked up parts of a key. why am i so nerd??

(and yes, they just need to be married forever, it's canon in my head now.)

Aslan-loaf! Baaaaaaw~ OMG, just watched the torrent, and yesssss. This pairing. With Edmund's faces when he turns away from Caspian, and the fighting and relying on each other etc etc etc etc etc. OH OH Aslan as Herakles is also unimaginably perfect, with the lion skin and the great friend/terrible enemy. FFFFFF

yessss exactly! i was thinking, what godlike being was associated with lions and is, you know, a better candidate for aslanship? i like the idea that aslan hasn't always been perfect/wise. that he had to grow and learn but he's always been 'great'. (and jesus wigs me out anyway)
