Personally, I think this is beautiful and I can easily see it as a canon 'x years down the line' fic. There are a few things in this fic I really loved, but I think my favorite is probably the house and how important it is to Nick. I love that he would get attached to an object like that, but it makes sense. After all, he was never able to stay in one place for very long, but that house became an actual home that he could come back to. I like that they all have their own room in the house for thinking and that Jamie has drenched it with magic.

Actually, I love that Jamie would use his magic, especially like that. I also like just how well they all click together and the way they flow, like they aren't really that separate anymore and they all carry a piece of each other. The way that they all dance together is one example of this and another is that Mae has a smile only for Nick. I like that, oddly enough.

Oh, and Nick being a housewife, because really, that's just kind of amusing. In the first chapter of TDL, Nick says that Alan's the better cook, so it amuses me that he and Jamie manage to destroy the teapot. Oh, and the fact that Nick can't remember who got the teapot is also really sweet to me. I like that he could list out these possibilities, but honestly doesn't know which one is it.

Just one thing, though. this isn't how things rae supposed to be, but when were they ever?
typo!
