But the bookstore is gone and...

Well, the "apples" aren't exactly what you think they are.

Well, now, that's unfortunate.

Oh? And what do I think they are?

I'm not a mind reader. ... But it's complicated. They're not apples at all.

Really now. Never would have guessed.

The only berries I have seen are in the mistletoe. Have you been lucky enough to avoid its effects?

grab_my_bells October 9 2009, 16:09:12 UTC
Yeah, I spotted a few and managed to avoid them so far. I take it you weren't so lucky, then, Fred?

Unfortunately, no. I have been forced to hug several people already.

And here I thought you'd be the hugging type.

Apples are apparently not to be spoken of publicly.

Of course they aren't.
The berries are okay, though.

On the 'sphere's new decor.
They seem ok to talk about.

I can see how you'd easily get lost since there's no more bookstore to find.

Not sure, I'd say the whole place gives the impression of a fruit salad mixed with a few nuts, wouldn't you?

Reply

grab_my_bells October 9 2009, 16:13:06 UTC
Yeah, that would make things difficult, I guess.

Only a few nuts?
Makes you wonder, though, just which of us is which.

There might be other places you can find books. Saw half of one in the Scrapyard the other day, so you may luck out and find a whole one, if you look.

Well, I've not made it through the whole bowl. It could be nuttier than I know.
Maybe a bit of both?

Maybe...but then I have to ask a scavenger to find one.
Which half of the book was it? Beginning/End/Somewhere in the middle?

Probably. I guess we just have to pick out the ones we like and leave the rest for someone else, hm, like any snack bowl.

I have not had to search for oranges, but I have gathered apples and berries! But if oranges are a step up, perhaps I should be prepared!

It is good you did not find the bookstore. It became a tree.

Maybe you should. Better stock up...never know when they might be out-of-season.

This whole place is a tree.

spandexisyouth October 9 2009, 23:56:54 UTC
I shall add that to the list of what I am gathering.

Yes. But it became ANOTHER tree. A little tree. AN APPLE TREE.

...You can join the giant squirrels someone mentioned in hoarding food for winter.

Apples. I'm sure you were thrilled.
