I am totally shocked...

So this morning the lab technician asked everyone to gather together because she had an announcement.  She shared to everyone that she will no longer be working in the lab and that she will be working with MedImmune, a company dedicated to making antibodies for clinical purposes.  I was totally shocked but I was so happy for her because I know she will get a higher pay and it's closer to her house.  But I think my boss is still trying to swallow all of this...it's probably best that I don't talk to him today.  The lab technician is probably one of the most important players in the lab - they often have this infamous reputation of being a total bitch only because they're trying to keep themselves sane while organizing a lab.  I admit, she's a little weird and sometimes annoying but she does a phenomenal job maintaining the lab - and things are just so much easier when she's around.  A lab technician is one of those positions that's meant to be somewhat binding but not permanent - and now she's leaving.  The lab will never be the same.  In addition to this, I also heard through Guanqiao that Kevin got a job in LA.

All of this news is so inspiring...if they can get a job...i surely can get a job.  I just really need to get my ass to work.
