I recently decided to do some cost comparison. Most people do this around the holidays to make sure the best gift is got for the rite price.
As you know I would provide all of my Brothers on here with a hearty gift if my budget allowed. Lets say for example if I had in my pocket now the amount of money it has taken my country to fund the war in Iraq. I could gift over 16,000,000 in FOUR YEAR free university scholarships, Or I could have placed over 19,000,000 of you guys in a new home. Lets not stop there! For my friends with kids I could have afforded child health coverage for over 198,000,000 of their children. And lets not forget, I could have sent another 140,000,000 kids to pre school last year also.
With money like $190,000,000,000 you could have funded research on many diseases like CANCER, AIDS, LEUKEMIA, HEPATITIS, ALZHEIMER, SIDS, DEPRESSION, for 10 years and still be able to open up a whole chain of alcohol and drug dependancy help centers.
We could have put OVER 50,000,000 new nurses and 23,000,000 new doctors in well paying much deserved jobs where they have the tools and help they need to take care of the sick and aged!
OH ! and lets not forget we just may have been able to save the lives of 7 astronauts in 2003 when they burned to death because the shuttle was FALLING APART on takeoff. For that matter, we may have already been on Mars.
And don't even get me going on how much alternative energy could have been subsidized on that kind of money cause I'm sure the war isn't going to save the environment!
