Well the reviews are coming in and from the first book out of the gate to herald the new continuity free DC universe and a new 0-60 feel...
They went for decompressed storytelling.
One one thing that a lot of people have been turning on is the idea of "writing for the trade" where the story is drawn out a bit too much (Fraction, I'm looking at you).
For superhero comic books it really is the death of things, you have these archetypes in gaudy 4 colour costumes who solve their issues with violence. And you decide to take a leisurely stroll? Not doing the industry a good one.
Next issue scheduled for October? Now that's even worse for some thing moving slow.
