I have recently undertaken the task of writing extensively about a topic i do not readily understand. I speak of course of my Political Philosophy take home mid-term. There are essays I must write relating to several different political philosophies and issues including - contract theory, true-self theory, utilitarianism, and equality.
These topics couldn't be more confusing considering that our arguments need to be based upon rationales gained from various political thinkers including Isaiah Berlin, John Locke, Mill, Kant, and all those happy little folks who love to confuse us with their ambiguous language and downright confusing speech. If it weren't for the discussions and explanations in class, I would more thank likely be without half a clue. Luckily I have notes that I have been using to attempt to complete all these masterful works of pure bullshit. At the very least, this has been a learning experience that has shown me how I can proceed with more effective note taking.
I need to submit these papers in a few short hours. At 6pm EST to be exact, and I'm not so sure they will be received well. To begin with I'm fairly certain that my professor dislikes me. Moreover, my logic is cloudy and somewhat misguided at times, and I'm fairly certain my professor will be readily able to determine that SHIT is SHIT. *sniff* *sniff* "Do I detect a hint of bullshit?" I did meet with some other members of the class on Sunday night to collect and discuss ideas relating to our essay topics. I was comforted in knowing that they all seemed to be as baffled and confused as I did. I guess that may be a terrible thing to say, but who can deny feeling better knowing that everyone is in the same ill-fated boat as you.
I have produced four works, that are more-or-less my attempt to make sense of the political philosophy world. What sense I do make will remain to be seen when my professor graces my papers with grades. I am at the very least intrigued by the topic despite my desperation to understand it. I am humbled by the sheer brain power it takes to master and manipulate such delicate and intricate concepts. Despite the overwhelming amount of mental trauma it may induce, it is my intention to hang on every word that is spoken for the remainder of the term - At least during "Critical Issues in Political Philosophy".
It is with great reluctance that I have decided to make these terrible works available TO you via the wonders of the internet... Click below to view a work of your choice...
Essay #1 - Contract TheoryEssay #2 - True Self TheoryEssay #3 - UtilitarianismEssay #4 - Equallity ...please do not be too abusive in your response to these essays. I know that they are rather bland, and most of them lack and overall point, but please know that I am aware of this, and don't really need all of your pointing that fact out again and again!
