so, i don't know how many people have been following the latest events in italy. but they recently had elections, and berlusconi (and his center-right party) appears to have lost. although he is contesting the results. and also, on the same day as the election, authorities captured the "boss of bosses" of the mafia who had been on the run for the past 43 years.
