(no subject)
Some people get excited about meeting athletes. For other people, its actors or musicians. For me, its a mom of 8. Oh yeah and I guess shes a reality TV star. Im sure most people of seen or atleast heard of the TLC show Jon and Kate plus 8. If you live under a rock, its about a couple (Jon and Kate Gosselin) who had twins, and then sextuplets. A few months ago, my friend Mindy said she heard Kate was coming to our church, Willow Creek. It took some research, but she was right. Kate was at our church this weekend, helping to wrap up the series on "Families at their Best" (pictures are small to spare you guys GIANT amounts of space with crappy blurry pics!)

Kate was interviewed by one of the associate pastors, many of the stories weve all heard before, about she and Jon finding out they were having 6, and the tough times they had when the babies came home, how help came from unexpected places.
How great does she look? I wish I could have gotten a picture of her standing up and posted it next to her with the picture of her with her HUGE belly on delivery day.
Did I mention that I am so grateful for the BIG screens? lol
Anyway, she was awesome. Very articulate and funny. Being the first service, she didn't know what clips they were going to show...she later commented "oh no, Im scared LOL". Some of them did not put her in a very nice light. Of course they show the beginning from the first season when she shouts "HELLO???!!!"
A lot of people started leaving right after Kate was done which I thought was rude until I realized that she would be signing her book in the bookstore. I dont blame them for getting an early jump. We got there at 4:45 and there was a HUGE crowd. THe place was PACKED (I think our auditorum holds like 7,000). And then after that, we got sushi! Yum!
