I've had enough of this town. I've gotten a lot accomplished while I was here. Paid off my student loans within two years of graduation. Bought a house, got a new truck.... It's been fairly good to me, but it's time for a change. I just finished talking with a contract company for some travel Occupational Therapy work in the Pasadena/Burbank-ish area. He's going to call a few hospitals down there and see what we can work out. I had to make sure he knew that I needed weekends off (he told me that's not a problem) and that I'm going to the desert the end of August through the beginning of September for Burning Man.
My house still hasn't sold, but the travel company will fund housing for me (up to $1500 per month) while I try to sell my house. Unfortunately my house hasn't been shown by my agent in near a month now. My contract with my agent ends June 12th. If nothing has been done by then, it's time for a new agent. Might look into renting the house out for a bit while I'm down in LA. We'll have to see.
man, I was hoping to have been down there back in March. This sucks! Have had to cancel too many plans cause of this! If this house doesn't sell, Burning Man is going to be very tight financially.
In other news, a close friend of mine is in the hospital with acute Pancreatitis. She's in a lot of pain right now. Very worried about her, as this almost killed her two years ago.
Headed back to LA this weekend.
