Who: Any and all Hogwarts Students What: Riding Back to Hogwarts Where: The Hogwarts Express, of course! When: September 1 Warnings: None Open to: Anyone who would be on the Hogwarts Express this year
Prefect! She'd been made a prefect! The fact still surprised Annie like crazy, but she was absolutely thrilled. It was exciting! After saying goodbye to the rest of her family, she had boarded the train with Emily, forgetting for a moment that she was supposed to go to the Prefects' car.
The Prefects car! It was still weird to think about, but she made her way their anyway, a bright grin on her face as she headed inside. It was going to be a great year, wasn't it? She wasn't even dreading O.W.L.s like she thought she would. Hopefully, hopefully, things would keep going well, right? Nevermind the fact it was only the first day, the summer had been... well, bad, but concluded excellently... maybe that good streak would stay. Maybe.
First order of Bailey Business? Finding Felicity -- not that it was difficult. She had shoved her trunks into some compartment, not too concerned about where they ended up, and had set off to find her roommate immediately.
Which would lead to the second order of Bailey Business: find Annie and steal her badge. Since Annie had to be the Prefect -- who else would they have chosen? And she wanted that badge. She wanted it in a bad way. Why, she had no idea, but she MUST HAVE IT.
So when she spotted Felicity she got a rather wicked grin, signaling the other girl immediately. "Seen our dear friend Annie yet?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow in a way that expressed the fact that she definitely had something up her sleeve!
Felicity lit up when she spotted one of her best friends coming toward her, shaking her head from side to side, the odd assortment of different sides braids moving about wildly.
"Oh, not, yet, but I'm sure we'll find her SOON," she said, her own lips curving into a wicked grin. Her thoughts were along the same line as Bailey's - Annie HAD to have gotten Prefect.
Not that she wanted the badge for herself. Oh, no.. responsibility and power so weren't her thing. But she intended to have fun with it, all the same.
"She's probably in the Prefect's car already," she suggested, "annoyingly on time and all."
Tucking her long blonde hair behind her ears, Annie scurried into the Prefect's car, a bright smile on her face. Her badge was on the front of her robes which she'd managed to keep tidy and clean, thank you, and she couldn't stop herself from bouncing around excitedly. She hadn't seen her roommates yet... and she never really knew if that was a good or a bad thing. She loved them, she really did... but she also knew being around them meant that chaos and insanity was nearby.
Sighing a little, she smoothed her skirt out as she sat back in her seat and waited for... whoever to come and talk to her.
Bailey totally wanted the badge for herself. Not the POSITION, maybe... but the BADGE... at least long enough to mess with it!
"The Prefect's car, huh," Bailey said, laughing a bit. "You know, it must be so boring in that car. All talk of DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY, and who wants to be subjected to that, right?"
Bailey was near bouncing as evil thoughts started to hatch into her brain.
"A person could probably do for some rescuing, being stuck in there!"
Felicity made a face. Just talking about responsibility and duty and all that rot was enough to make her break on in hives, she could swear it.
"Eww, no kidding.. it's probably horri-" she trailed off as her gaze followed a couple of first years chasing each other around and she almost lost track of what she'd been saying, but then Bailey's suggestion pulled her back to the point.
"Oh, yes. What horrible friends we would be if we didn't rescue our very bestest of best friends from such a horrible, boring fate," she agreed.
Unlike either of her roommates, Annie was always responsible and kept herself out of trouble. It made sense to her, unlike constantly breaking the rules and landing herself in the hospital. A little goody goody of her? Perhaps. But she really couldn't help herself. It was just how she was and was there anything really wrong with that? Nah.
Tucking her hair behind her ears, she fidgeted a bit around the older students, feeling that wave of nervousness wash over her as she chewed lightly on her bottom lip. She was still excited, sure, but reality was settling in and now she was beginning to question things a little.
Little did she know her worries were about to be made a little worse. Ah, the joys of being clueless.
"I'm glad you see things my way!" Bailey declared, threading her arm through Felicity's. She'd known that the other girl would, of course, because why wouldn't she?
She started on the way towards the Prefect's cabin -- at least, the way that she thought it was. Obviously she'd never been there, so she couldn't be positive, but who cared? Onward!
Duh. Of course Felicity saw things Bailey's way. Her friend was kind of brilliant that way. Felicity was glad to follow her lead, assuming she knew just where they were going.
It was probably good that Bailey had her arms through hers, too, because Felicity almost got distracted during there walk - trolleys with sweets and first years running about - really, it was hard to stay focused!
And getting off track would have been a shame, too, because rescuing Annie? Obviously their best plan EVER.
