It was her typical morning routine, these days. She'd wake up, curled into Jeremy, and laugh at his sleepy sounds of protests as she insisted she had to go study. After about an hour or so of that, she'd finally manage to get away, kissing him and laughing softly to herself as he fell back asleep. She knew he'd come find her in a few hours, once he'd woken up, and force her to take a break while they picnicked on the grounds.
It was nice, that routine. Even the nights when she didn't sneak into his dorm, she could rely on picnic lunches with Jeremy. And she usually managed to get a good bit of studying done before he came by, too.
Today was different, though, because her plans to study had been derailed by word of what had happened to Kiley and even though she was trying really hard to study a bit while she waited for James to meet her and give her the details, she found it impossible to concentrate, so she was really just staring blankly at the page.
