Some people might think it just a bit odd that Raye tended to spend so much time wandering the streets at Hogsmeade. Going to Hogsmeade was a thing you got excited about as a kid, but then you grew up and got a real job and spent your time in other places.
Not Raye, though. Hogsmeade was a kind of comfort place for her, almost like a security blanket, and she often found herself here when she was feeling nostalgic for simpler times. Like now.
Her cousin was dead. It was difficult for Raye to wrap her mind around that fully. She'd never seen him frequently and they weren't that close. Hell, she was pretty sure he didn't even like her very much most of the time, but that didn't mean that she was completely unaffected by his death.
Except that Raye didn't like dealing with serious things, so she'd done her best to repress and ignore it, to not let it affect her at all. Which was what had her here now. Distraction. As in, she needed one. And possibly some sugar. With that in mind, she set out for Honeydukes, intent on getting herself some chocolate.
