It had been one month since Trick died. It had also been eleven days since Darin and Bastian had been kidnapped and three days since they'd been rescued. The past month had been nothing but heartache and stress and, while many felt they could finally relax, Riley just couldn't. She had far too much on her mind. Like her plans for herself. Plans that she'd act on in little less than a month.
At any rate, she'd taken refuge under a tree by the lake this afternoon, really wanting nothing more than to slowly destroy her respiratory system and subsequently calm her nerves a bit. There wasn't much else she could do, was there? It wasn't as if she had any other ways of distracting herself from everything that'd been going on. So she pulled out a cigarette, lit it with her wand and took a long drag. Thank Merlin for generous professors.
