Having a wand back? That was the LIFE. And she'd gotten it in time for April Fool's, too! WHICH WAS PRETTY MUCH THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER. Why, you ask? Well, because Bailey loved April Fool's. She loved it a lot. She got to pull all kinds of silly pranks and people couldn't even get mad!
Well, they could, but if they did they were even MORE stuffy and boring than USUAL, so she would just get to mock them! So it was a win-win situation for one Bailey Tancer, HA! She loved it when things worked out that way.
It was the middle of the afternoon, and normally she wouldn't have been caught dead in the common room at this time of day, because it was SO much more fun to be outside, or in the halls even, finding something to do. But, Bailey had a PLAN, see. And that plan required her to be inside the common room!
She'd set up this whole chain reaction for the next person to come through the portrait hole. See, they'd come through, and that would dislodge the bucket (full of ice-cold water!) over their heads, which would pull the string tight -- which would spark the match on the end of it -- which would set off the fireworks sitting right there! She'd been saving them for ages, and they'd go off all over the common room and it would be SPECTACULAR.
She'd set all kinds of charms up, too, to make sure that it worked properly and didn't get all ruined by something not pulling tight enough or whatever. Actually, she was pretty proud of the fact that she'd had enough attention span to do it at all!
And now? NOW, she was sitting on the couch, fidgeting because she hated WAITING, and she hoped it wouldn't take TOO very long for someone to come into the common room...
