Im still alive...
So much to update, and yet I haven't updated in a while.
1. School is good, although I am SO ready for it to end. I need the break. I am sick of cooking, so a break will be nice. ;) Really looking forward to next quarter, taking Garde Manger, which is the class I have wanted to take all along. The chef that teaches that class was once the executive chef for the prime minister of France. I am really looking forward to working with him, as his accomplishments are quite impressive.
2. Chris and I are still going strong. He is so amazing, everytime I look at him I fall deeper in love.
3. The Kings have still yet to lose two straight games this season. They are playing well overall, although they did get embarassed by Detroit at home on Monday night. A game against Chicago tonight should be a nice slumpbuster, considering the next three games are all tough road tests. Ottawa is on pace to lose only about 10 games this season, Montreal is a solid team and has ALWAYS been tough on the Kings, and Toronto has a power play that can beat you all by itself.
4. The Angels have upped their offer to Paul Konerko, which will drastically upgrade their offense if they can get him to sign. Also, looks like Manny Ramirez will probably not be back in Boston next season. Would be nice to get him, but if you do, what do you do with Garrett Anderson and who do you have to give up? Defensively, it is probably a wash, as GA doesn't hustle, and Manny is awful. Offensively, it would add about 30 homeruns to the Angels anemic batting order. GA would probably move to the Designated Hitter spot if he is not included in the deal. I wouldnt be at all surprised if they gave up Dallas MacPherson or Casey Kotchman along with GA (if it all happens). It also looks like Paul Byrd and Jarrod Washburn will not be back. The Angels need help in the bullpen as Kelvim Escobar will be moved back into the starting rotation. AND finally, they no longer offer a 20 game mini plan, which sucks, but they do offer the 27 game plan. We will see.
5. Christmas is coming, and I am just about ready. Almost done with all my shopping for the family, just need to finish up my friends, which will be more work than money. Ready for Florida, all reserved and ticketed, now just need to actually go.
