My Top 25 Shows of 2016
1. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- This show continues to be my favorite thing. It has music, insanity and so much fun. Great performances and plot twists.
2. Jane The Virgin- This show continues to be great. It took some big risks this year and they paid off.
3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine- This show has maintained greatness and I love it. Lots of great guest stars and fun.
4. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt- This show continues to be great. It let Kimmy embrace her darkness this season with hilarious results.
5. The Grinder- I still miss this meta little show with a great cast and lots of humor.
6. Preacher- This was such a weird fun new show. It has a lot of darkness and some problematic elements by I enjoyed it.
7. Downton Abbey- This was just a victory lap where everyone got to end up happily ever after. It was still nice.
8. Broad City- This is still a great comedy with some great guest stars. Stay fun guys.
9. Orphan Black- This season the show returned to its roots. It was nice to see the clones together and bonding.
10. Ash Vs. Evil Dead- This show really stepped it up in its second season. The humor and horror combination worked for me. I'm just bummed we didn't get to see young Ash.
11. Better Call Saul- I love this show. I didn't love Jimmy getting conned but some chickens finally came home to roost for him. He tried to be good and it sucks to watch him fall.
12. Game of Thrones- This was another action packed season. I lost some of my favorite characters but others took control and started to work their way back to each other.
13. The Good Place- This is a new show that works for me thanks to original concept, great cast and fun.
14. Angie Tribeca- This show really stepped up in its second season.
15. Stan Against Evil- I had no idea what this show was about until I watched it. I really enjoyed this weird horror comedy.
16. Teen Wolf- Teen Wolf continues to be a great thriller with friends at the heart.
17. The Magicians- This was a fun magic show that explored the dark and gritty with some humor. I liked it.
18. Wynonna Earp- This show was also a pleasant surprise. I liked the bond between the sisters and the characters. It fills the “Lost Girl” void.
19. The Jim Gaffigan Show- This was another show that stepped it up in its final season. It was a funny and nice way to go out.
20. Galavant- This was such an ambitious and funny musical show and it got cancelled before it could really hit its stride.
21. Izombie- I still love this show. It tickles my “Veronica Mars” feels and amped up the drama this season.
22. Mom- This show maintained a nice balance between darkness and comedy this season. I like it.
23. People of Earth- This is a nice show about friends who feel crazy. It's funny.
24. The X-Files- I was glad to have this show back even though it was a little uneven.
25. Sweet/ Vicious- I really like this show about women taking on college rapists. It has fun even though its dealing with darkness.
