Jamie is really the son of God and Frankie does have powers. Rhonda became a killer. It was depressing Jamie lost in the end and Ariel is trapped with everyone else. Maybe Jamie used his powers to save himself and the husband. That's how I'll think of it.

This felt like a retread of the pilot and little too on the nose.
